The dbxapp Platform: One Core, Clear Building Blocks

dbxapp is a modular platform for websites, shops, and business applications. Recurring tasks are solved consistently in the core, while business logic stays in clearly defined modules.

Shared foundations

Data

dbxDB and DD connect data access, table descriptions, permissions, and different database servers.

Forms

dbxForm uses FD, validation, messages, approvals, and Ajax under one shared contract.

Lists

dbxReport provides filters, tables, totals, actions, and exports in a consistent way.

Presentation

dbxTPL separates data and business logic from reusable templates and designs.

Users, permissions, and security

Modules, content, and data use the same user and group context. DD permissions protect data operations. Forms and write actions additionally receive the protection needed against unintended browser actions.

Desktop, mobile, intranet, and cloud

These are not separate products, but access and operating modes of the same platform. The business codebase stays shared; design, deployment, and access context can be adapted.

Interfaces and extensions

New requirements are added as modules. They can use existing data, forms, reports, workflows, and CMS pages. Existing systems can be connected through clearly defined interfaces.
